Jackson Bay

This was the most remote and strangest village I've ever visited. Its 2hrs 41mins from the nearest proper supermarket (new world 3 parks, wanaka) and over 45min from the nearest town with a shop (which the locals wouldn't be relying on as their main shop as its just a corner shop, which is hella overpriced, so idk what on earth theyre doing 4 food?!?!) what r they doing 4 food???
I mean nearly 200kms!!! just for a supermarket!
theres no way theyre entierly living off of just fish!
how do they even earn the moneys out there???
wtf?!.
+the houses n shi there was rlly well kept, maintained and up to date!
nz is so confusing. literally the only 1st world country i know of that has proper villages n shi hundreds of miels out in the middle of the sticks w proper amenities like running water, sewage, power, phone/internet lines. All of it ran to this tiny village on the furthest corner of the south west coast of nz.
what the helly
